OER Workshop: An “Open” Discussion – Part I

📅 Wednesday, February 12th
📍 MCC Brighton Leroy V. Good Library (Building 2-423) or join via Zoom

Are you curious about Open Educational Resources (OER)? Wondering what makes materials “open” and how they can enhance your courses? Interested in making learning more affordable and accessible for your students?

Join OER Librarian Michelle Beechey for an interactive session exploring OER, Creative Commons licensing, and copyright. This session will begin with a brief overview, followed by an open discussion where your questions drive the conversation.

Topics include:

  • SUNY OER Impact Grants: Upcoming call for proposals
  • Finding high-quality open materials in your subject area
  • Integrating open resources into existing courses
  • Developing a fully open course
  • Licensing your own materials for open use
  • Exploring Lumen Circles

📌 Save the Date! Part II of this series takes place on March 12th.
